Voting Question: How do I tell a broadband connection?
I read somewhere that broadband vaguely means quick internet but how quick is not defined. As such, some ISPs are selling even dailup as broadband only because it's faster than 56kps. Now, how do I tell that a service on offer is really broadband? I've seen an ISP advertising broadband connection at 64, 128 and 256kps. this has a flat monthly fee. comes with a USB modem/ethernet modem and a landline. alternatively, they have a wireless version that would use a PC card. i currently have a WIMAX broadband connection that is bundled and billed on usage. the speed tests have so far shown between 200-800 kbps

Voting Question: Delay guarantee for real time polling service???
Delay guarantee for real time polling service??? Hey, I need ur help.. We r in the midst of a project that involves call admission control algorithms for wimax. As u know there is one quality of service called RTPS(real time polling service) that requires a certain delay guarantee. Can anyone tell me what is the standard delay guarantee that is provided for RTPS??? I mean , we need a standard value. If u can mention the particular network where that standard value is used, then it will be really helpful. Ok?? We r in a desperate situation. So, any help is welcome.. If u can give any link that might b useful plz post it.. Thanx in advance!

Voting Question: How to solve this problem?
I have 128kbps Bandwidth of WiMAX internet connection. I have connected five laptops through wireless with the Router and one through cable. They work well and don't receive disconnect or slow but there is one another laptop when I connect that through cable or wireless with the Internet it then slows down our Internet speed and Internet in other PCs receive disconnect. I have to then unplug the cable of that laptop which creates this problem from the Router and restart my Router to receive fine again. I know there is something wrong in his PC, it may have a virus. So I want to know that is there any way to solve this problem that Internet in our PCs won't receive disconnect or won't receive slow even if that laptop is connected with the Internet and I also won't need to unplug his cable and restart my Router? Thanks,
